The unique ‘Astronomy Cafe’, located in Faliraki, is hosting a ‘Rock Music Dark Night Party’ at the height of the Perseid meteor showers on Sunday, August 12. The event starts at 21:00 until 01:00 and is free to attend.
Throughout the summer, the ‘Astronomy Cafe’ offers its customers a unique experience whilst enjoying a relaxing evening drink in the beautiful location of Antony Quinn’s Bay.
Next to the cafe is the Hipparchos Observatory, which houses powerful astronomical telescopes, allowing cafe customers after dark the opportunity to view the moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and many other astronomical objects and learn about the cosmos in a fun and relaxed environment.
Observation via the telescopes in the Hipparchos Observatory costs 4 euros.
During the season the cafe hosts a number of summer parties with guest DJ’s from across Greece.
