No Roaming Charges within EU

A European Union (EU) law to abolish roaming charges for EU citizens using mobile phones abroad came into force on June 15, 2017.

The new regulations mean that EU citizens travelling within the European Union will be able to call, text and browse the internet on mobile devices at the same price they pay at home.

The European Commission said the end of roaming charges was one of the greatest successes of the European Union.

Our recommendation is still to check with your mobile provider before travelling, to confirm that your particular contract is included within the new regulations.
